Glasbord Liners

Details

Glasbord fibreglass reinforced plastic (FRP) wall and ceiling liner panel system is a durable, flexible building material that will never mould, mildew, rot or corrode. Glasbord FRP wall and ceiling liner panel exhibits excellent resistance to mild chemicals and moisture and has a Class C rating from flame spread and smoke development when tested per ASTM E-84.

Glasbord FRP wall and ceiling liner panels have an unique surface treatment called Surfaseal that, when compared to ordinary FRP, exhibits up to ten times the cleanability, six times the stain resistance and twice the abrasion resistance.

Glasbord FRP with Surfaseal embossed liner panels are designed for interior wall finishes where a Class C, sanitary, easy to clean panel is desired. Glasbord with Surfaseal FRP panels are approved for lay-in ceiling applications in a steel suspended ceiling system, without overlaid gypsum or insulation panels or blankets.

Glasbord Sandwich Panels

Details

Glasbord sandwich panels are the ideal solution for fast, flexible and cost effective sandwich constructions with the highest demands towards aesthetics and safety. Different versions with various insulating materials ensure optimum design conditions for the implementation of different applications. For example, the quality of Glasbord FXI is classified as fire retardant (B, s2, d 0) according to the European standard (EN 13501) and in connection with a Rockwool core a fire protection up to F90 can be achieved. Particularly important for the reliable durability, permanent good appearance and above all the safe hygienic surface, is the quality of the joints. To also ensure this aspect, DCTech offers a so-called “hard” grouting material. Which by itself is a remarkable product. But the mere implementation of existing products was not regarded as sufficient by DCTech. Therefore, a special grouting material was developed which was optimally adapted for the material and the application purpose. DCTech also offers an extensive range of accessories, to provide the perfect solution for every room setting and requirement.

Applications

  • High corrosive environments ie cheese, fish and butter
  • Cool-rooms
  • Moist-rooms
  • Fire safety panels
  • Storage areas
  • Ripening rooms

Features

  • Durable: a high load capacity and resiliency against bumps and scratches
  • Clean: can be cleaned simply and absolutely germ-free
  • Hygiene: homogeneous, non-porous Surfaseal surface that does not offer any breeding ground for microorganisms
  • Sealed: no joints or gaps thanks to a special grouting material and a rich assortment of accessories

Fittings

In specific area, such as ripening rooms, the need for system components is given. Corners are equipped with radius parts. These parts are produced with a Glasbord surface in a form press which means it is possible to product a maximum length of 4.0m. Within higher rooms the panels maximum radius is 50mm; lengths available of 300 x 600mm. Core thickness is between 20 and 80-240mm.

Sealants

Hydewa sealants in hard or soft design ensures a self-devloped and food-acceptable element. They are an ideal sealing material for sealing sandwich elements. 2-C Joint can be described as a maintenance free and has similar properties to the Glasbord surface. It is not prone to yellowing and the sealed surface rejects mould.

2-C Expoxy Joint Sealant and Filler

Connection and expansion joints without movement recording indoors. Repair of small defects of Glasbord. Solvent-free, thixitrop, quick setting, wide adhesion range.

Sanigrid Ceiling Grid

Details

Sanigrid Ceiling Grid System

  1. Install Sanigrid wall angle at desired height around perimeter of room in the usual manner. Use non-corrosive fasteners appropriate for wall material. Pre-drill appropriate size hole for fastener’s.
  2. Install hanger eyes and wire at appropriate spacing per chart. use galvanised anchors and 12 ga. galvanised, monel, or stainless steel wire. (Use corrosion-resistant materials suitable for the intended environment).
  3. Secure main runners to hanger wires and make leveling adjustments. Where main tees butt, secure with connector clip. Additional holes may be drilled in main tees as required for proper alignment with hanger wires. Space holes no closer than 102mm (4″) from end of tee or another hole.
IMPORTANT: Light fixtures must be installed to hang independently of the grid system.
  4. Where the main runner meets the wall angle, cut away the face of the runner so that the vertical web will rest on the wall angle. Scoring the runner on both sides of the vertical and horizontal web will assist in providing a clean break.
  5. Install a wall anchor clip and a diagonal hanger wire. This will prevent shifting and misalignment of the main runners.
  6. Install cross tees by positioning tee at the cross tee notch on the main tee. Both ends must be positioned at the same time. Then simply twist the cross tee into position. At the cross tee wall angel junction, cut away the face and install wall anchor as was done for the main runners.
  7. Install lay-in ceiling panels int he usual manner.
  8. Install two hold down clips along the cross tees only. Hold down clips are intended only to hold panels in position. They will not prevent warping under severe conditions.

Sanigrid Ceiling Panels

When FRP panels are used in conjunction with metal overlay gird system, the space between the panel and the grid system may be unacceptable. this issue is highlighted with the use of smooth FRP panels as illustrated in the photos below.

Using heavy duty grids with lip and flange may result in a space with FRP panels are installed in the grid.

When FRP panels are placed in the grid, there will be a space due to the design of the grid. This spaced is accented, when using smooth panels.

For best results please use only butt end ceiling grid systems or the Sanigrid Fibrelgass ceiling grid system when installing FRP as a ceiling panel.
