Outsulation on a concrete roof, IRMA

Outsulation on a concrete roof IRMA (Insulated Roof Membrane Assembly) that protects the waterproof membrane.
A Collaroy (NSW) customer complained about excessive heat in summer and cold and condensation in winter, inside the home.
These problems have been overcome by installing DCT XPS GA300 50mm & Proctor Geo IRMA on the concrete roof.

Since installation of DCTech’s outsulation solution the customer has been taking daily measurements of the temperatures inside the home, and has recorded a 6 degree drop in inside temperature (in summer).

Insulation over the waterproof membrane protects the membrane from harsh UV that breaks down membranes. DCT XPS also protects the membrane from temperature fluctuations and foot traffic on the roof.

Now the concrete roof is insulated the dew point is outside the building thus reducing condensation risk and mould.
