Details

The TENMAT VFB Plus Ventilated Fire Barrier consists of a high expansion intumescent strip fixed to High Density Mineral Wool and encased in polyethene. The TENMAT VFB Plus Cavity Fire Barrier system is suitable for ventilated cavities up to 500mm. The TENMAT VFB Plus has undergone extensive third-party fire testing and is suitable for use within the majority of construction types, enabling the versatile system to be specified with confidence and provide the installer with a simple, time saving and site friendly solution.

The TENMAT VFB Plus Ventilated Fire Barrier has been independently fire tested and assessed by Chiltern International Fire for the applications below.

Applications

  • Fixed to non-combustible constructions such as brick, block, masonry and aerated concrete block
  • Fixed onto mineral fibre insulation on concrete or timber frame
  • Fixed to combustible timber frame construction

Features

  • Can be fixed both horizontally and/or vertically within ventilated cavities behind rainscreen or cladding systems to act as a cavity fire barrier
