EXTERNALLY INSULATED CLT RAINSCREEN (PIR)

CLT mass timber wall made water and air tight by the self-adhered vapour permeable ProctorPassive Wraptite SA, externally insulated with a rigid thermoset DCT PIR insulation board and protected by a rainscreen cladding supported by the Nvelope engineered helping hand sub-framing system. As the PIR and CLT are both deemed combustible, this solution is never recommended for type A or B non-combustible wall construction.

DCT VulcanWool is a non-combustible high density mineral rock fibre stonewool insulation for use as external grade insulation with water shedding characteristics, designed for use in ventilated rainscreen facades and other thermal and acoustic wall, roof, floor and ceiling applications in residential and commercial buildings.

ProctorPassive Wraptite Self Adhesive (SA) is a light duty vapour permeable membrane for wall and metal roof application functioning as  water and air barrier in one innovative vapour permeable self-adhering product.
