Steel frame wall with a flexible water and air tight vapour permeable ProctorPassive RS-IT, insulated with a non-combustible Vulcanwool stonewool insulation and protected by a rainscreen cladding supported by the Nvelope engineered helping hand sub-framing system. The insulation is contained within the frame. As the Vulcanwool insulation is deemed non-combustible per AS1530.1, this solution is recommended for type A or B non-combustible wall construction. It is recommended that the steel frame is thermally broken.
Nvelope Rainscreen Back Framing simplifies the complexity of modern building facades using a unique ‘helping hand’ bracketing system which is fixed to the substrate at set vertical and horizontal separations. Suitable for the most demanding facade materials, our range of Nvelope brackets, rails and rainscreen support systems are safe, economic and effective.
ProctorPassive Rainscreen (RS-IT) is a vapour permeable wall wrap for use in closed and open joint rain screen installations in vertical wall constructions behind ventilated facades with regularly spaced open joints no greater than 50mm wide accounting for 30% open total surface area offering a combination of UV durability and high water holdout without compromising vapour permeability.
DCT VulcanWool is a non-combustible high density mineral rock fibre stonewool insulation for use as external grade insulation with water shedding characteristics, designed for use in ventilated rainscreen facades and other thermal and acoustic wall, roof, floor and ceiling applications in residential and commercial buildings.
