  1. DCT-W20-2 LIGHTWEIGHT THERMALLY BROKEN STEEL FRAME WALL (PIR INTERNAL INSULATION)
    A lightweight clad steel frame wall insulated within the frame with a continuous closed cell high compressive strength DCTech XPS thermal break strip fixed between the cladding and the frame to form a drained and vented cavity. The frame and insulation are protected by a vapour permeable, air and water tight ProctorWrap sarking. The interior DCT PIR Silver insulation is mechanically fixed directly to the interior face of the frame and must be taped and sealed to form a continuous air and vapour control layer. As the thermal break strip and PIR insulation are both deemed combustible, this solution is never recommended for type A or B non-combustible wall construction.
  2. DCT-W21-1 LIGHTWEIGHT THERMALLY BROKEN STEEL FRAME WALL (DCT VULCANWOOL)
    A lightweight clad steel frame wall insulated by non-combustible DCT Vulcanwool and a continuous Vulcanwool high compressive strength thermal break strip fixed between the cladding and the frame to form a drained and vented cavity. The frame and insulation are protected by a vapour permeable, air and water tight ProctorWrap sarking. The SmartVap intelligent air barrier membrane installed to the inside face of the frame must be taped and sealed to form a continuous air and vapour control layer and is best fixed behind a batten to forms a service cavity behind the plasterboard. As the VulcanWool insulation and thermal break strip and both deemed non-combustible, this solution is suitable for type A or B non-combustible wall construction.

    Steel frame wall with a rigid air barrier made water and air tight by the self-adhered vapour permeable ProctorPassive Wraptite SA, externally insulated with a non-combustible Vulcanwool stonewool insulation, protected by a rainscreen cladding supported by the Nvelope engineered helping hand sub-framing system. The insulation is mechanically fixed to the rigid air barrier with minimal thermal bridging, to form a continuous external insulation layer. Additional insulation is contained within the frame. As the Vulcanwool insulation is deemed non-combustible per AS1530.1, this solution is recommended for type A or B non-combustible wall construction.

As the DCT VulcanWool insulation in the frame and the thermal break strip are deemed non-combustible per AS1530.1, this solution is recommended for type A or B non-combustible wall construction.
  6. DCT-W23-1 INSULATED STEEL FRAME RAINSCREEN WITH FLEXIBLE AIR BARRIER
    Steel frame wall with a flexible water and air tight vapour permeable ProctorWrap RS-IT, insulated with a non-combustible Vulcanwool stonewool insulation and protected by a rainscreen cladding supported by the Nvelope engineered helping hand sub-framing system. The insulation is contained within the frame. As the Vulcanwool insulation is deemed non-combustible per AS1530.1, this solution is recommended for type A or B non-combustible wall construction. It is recommended that the steel frame is thermally broken.

    Steel frame wall with a with a flexible water and air tight vapour permeable ProctorWrap RS-IT, externally insulated with a non-combustible Vulcanwool stonewool insulation protected by a rainscreen cladding supported by the Nvelope engineered helping hand sub-framing system. The insulation is mechanically fixed to the frame with minimal thermal bridging, to form a continuous external insulation layer. Additional insulation is contained within the frame.
