EXTERNALLY INSULATED STEEL FRAME RAINSCREEN WITH FLEXIBLE AIR BARRIER
Steel frame wall with a flexible water and airtight vapour permeable ProctorPassive RS-IT, externally insulated with a non-combustible Vulcanwool stonewool insulation protected by a rainscreen cladding supported by the Nvelope engineered helping hand sub-framing system. The insulation is mechanically fixed to the frame with minimal thermal bridging, to form a continuous external insulation layer. Additional insulation is contained within the frame. As the Vulcanwool insulation is deemed non-combustible per AS1530.1, this solution is recommended for type A or B non-combustible wall construction.

ProctorPassive Rainscreen (RS-IT) is a vapour-permeable wall wrap for use in closed and open joint rain screen installations in vertical wall constructions behind ventilated facades with regularly spaced open joints no greater than 50mm wide accounting for 30% open total surface area offering a combination of UV durability and high water holdout without compromising vapour permeability.
