As the DCT VulcanWool insulation in the frame and the thermal break strip are deemed non-combustible per AS1530.1, this solution
is recommended for type A or B non-combustible wall construction.

DCT VulcanWool is a non-combustible high density mineral rock fibre stonewool insulation for use as external grade insulation with water shedding characteristics, designed for use in ventilated rainscreen facades and other thermal and acoustic wall, roof, floor and ceiling applications in residential and commercial buildings.
DCT VulcanWool Thermal break strip is a non-combustible (AS1530.1) thermal break for wall and roofing applications, made with a high density non-combustible rock fibre Vulcanwool insulation with water shedding characteristics, reinforced with an extruded aluminium cover.
Thermal break shall be DCT VulcanWool Non-Combustible Thermal Break Strips installed continuously at each metal framing member in accordance with the install guide with the aluminium cover facing out, typically installed external to the vapour permeable membrane. DCT Vulcanwool Non-Combustible Thermal Break Strips meet the requirements of Section J0.2(c), J0.4 and J0.5 as a thermal break.
